He and his wife live in Poulsbo, Washington, not far from their grown daughter and son-in-law. About the llustrator Anna McDonnell is a lifelong artist who currently lives in Washington state. A progressive student of the arts, most notably the art of animation, she has been the recipient of awards that have funded her pursuit to bring beautiful characters and stories to life. Other specializations include traditional drawing, painting, charcoal, digital arts, and cartooning.
