Aloha Zoo is a simple and fun board book that introduces the animals that can be found at the Honolulu Zoo in a unique way. The animals are not named – they are identified by one-word descriptions young keiki will love to mimic. As an example, for the lion, the text reads: ALOHA ROAR! The illustrations are whimsical, colorful, and done in a fanciful, original style that kids are sure to love.

Jing Jing Tsong was born in Pennsylvania, but now calls the Big Island home. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Art and Design, and has worked with companies such as Spider, McDonald’s, and Crayola. Locally, her work has appeared in Honolulu Magazine, Island Scene, and other publications. Aloha Zoo and Sam Surfs are her first illustrated books for children.
